My home town, Windsor, Connecticut, is noted for its great number of fields of shade tobacco. Shade tobacco differs from other tobacco growing because to create the shade the fields are covered with cloth --- creating vast white tents. Visually, the cloth, the rows of plants (nicotianna tobacum), and the red sheds, make for some very pleasing compositions. Living close to these fields enables me to capture images in a variety of situations of weather, time of day, etc. My Shade Tobacco Gallery offers only a small number of the images in my collection.
